MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING THE QUIZ!
The FINAL EXAM covers all material from Meetings 1-8 including readings, lectures, and any videos posted in the modules or presented during lecture. You will have 240 minutes (4 hours) to complete the exam once you begin and you only have one attempt to take the exam. Therefore, make sure you are prepared and able to work on the exam for the entire 240 minutes once you begin. The exam will open at 6:00pm PST Thursday, September 2nd and will close at Saturday, September 4th at 6:00pm PST. You can chose any 240-minute block within that time to take the exam but you must complete the exam by the Saturday deadline. This means that if you begin the exam less than 4 hours before the Saturday 6:00pm deadline, you will only have that amount of time to complete the exam.
The exam contains a both close-ended and open-ended description and application questions. For multiple choice questions, make sure you read each question carefully and choose the BEST answer out of the options provided. For open-ended questions, make sure you address ALL aspects of the prompt and write in a concise manner (i.e. try to avoid sentences that simply rephrase the prompt and/or don't communicate any specific, relevant information). NOTE: I have included suggested response lengths for open-ended questions; however, write as much or little as you think necessary to completely answer the prompt.
The FINAL EXAM is worth a total of 60 points. For exemplary responses to open-ended questions, I will assign up to a combined total of 5 extra credit points. Make sure that you also submit the study guide (worth 20 points) using the submission link provided above the link you used to access this exam.
The final exam is open note and open book. However, collaboration with other students in any manner is prohibited. This includes communicating while taking the exam, sharing questions or answers, or collaborating in any other way. Any violation will be referred to the UCSD Office of Academic Integrity and, at a minimum, will result in a score of zero for the exam.
Due to the fact that I will not be available to answer questions for the entire period the exam is open--and thus, cannot provide assistance to every student that takes the exam--I will not be able to respond to clarification questions while you are taking the exam. However, I will make adjustments after everyone has completed the exam if there were widespread issues for certain questions.
