Lab assignments in future weeks will be completed in Jupyter Notebooks. Most analyses will focus on using command line tools. However, we will be using Python to visualize results and occasionally perform some basic analyses.
During the first week of the course, we strongly encourage you to learn/review basic Python. You can access the course "Intro. to Comp. Sci. & OOP: Python" via Stepik (created by CSE's very own Niema Moshiri!) here: https://stepik.org/join-class/0a40872cd2c2b6a498f9fa5d93d692f77b537961

Completion of this course is optional and will not be graded. However, we will assume in future weeks that you are familiar with Python.
