Instructions

PLEASE READ THESE DIRECTIONS IN THEIR ENTIRETY BEFORE BEGINNING THE EXAM!!!!

You will have three hours to complete this exam, which covers material from the entire quarter. The final exam will open at 6:00pm PST Tuesday, December 15th and will close at 6:00pm PST Wednesday, December 16th. Thus, you can choose any consecutive three-hour time period within the 24 hour window to complete the final exam. Once you start the exam you must complete it; you will not be able to save progress and return to it later. The final exam is worth 150 points of the total 530 points in this course. There are 20 points extra credit available, thus, 170 points possible.

There are multiple question types in this exam so please make sure to read the questions carefully and consider answer options thoroughly for close-ended questions.

Multiple choice: pick the BEST answer possible.

Multiple choice fill in the blank questions: make sure you pay attention to all blanks (denoted by "_______") and possible corresponding answers if there are multiple blanks in the question.

True/false: think about whether the entire statement is true or whether part or all of the statement is false.

Short answer: make sure you pay attention to all the guidelines for each question.

Extra Credit: since they are extra credit  questions they are intended to be slightly more difficult. Think through them carefully.

Since I will not be available for the entire 24-hour period to answer student questions (I need to sleep!), I will not be responding to any questions about the content of exam questions, including clarifying questions on how exam questions are worded. Thus, answer the questions to the best of your ability during the 3 hours. If many students have a hard time with a particular question due to poor wording or a mistake made by me, I will award full points for that question to all students. Otherwise, there will be no curving of final exam grades.

The exam is "open book and open note." Some Canvas module material will be made unavailable during the exam period; all readings will be left available through Canvas and Perusall.

Students are PROHIBITED from working with other classmates on the exam, sharing questions or answers, or collaborating in any other way once the exam period has begun. If any students are found to have collaborated on the final exam, they will be referred to the Office of Academic Integrity and receive an F in the course. Please refer to university academic integrity rules for more information.
