PHYS 203B - Adv Classical Electrodynam. II - Grinstein [SP22]
This is a continuation of PHYS203A. Where in 203A sources of electromagnetism were restricted to between zero and one point charges, 203B takes a look at the effect of Avogadro-size collection of charges, treated as a continuum. Topics include multipole expansion, radiation from localized extended sources, Maxwell's equations in continuum media, electrostatics with conductors and dielectrics, magnetostatics, frequency. dependent response of materials and quasistatic fields in conductors.
