Instructions

MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING THE QUIZ!

The first quiz covers all material from Weeks 1-4 including all weekly readings and all information posted under the "VIDEOS/EXTRAS" section of the weekly modules. You will have 60 minutes to complete the quiz once you begin and you only have one attempt to take the quiz. Therefore, make sure you are prepared and able to work on the quiz for the entire 60 minutes once you begin. The quiz will open at 4:00pm PST Wednesday, January 27th and will close at 11:59pm PST Sunday, January 31st. You can chose any 60-minute block within that time to take the quiz but you must complete the quiz by the Sunday deadline.

The quiz contains close-ended questions and two short response questions. Make sure you read each question carefully and choose the BEST answer out of the options provided.

The quiz is open note and open book. However, collaboration with other students in any manner is prohibited. This includes communicating while taking the quiz, sharing questions or answers, or collaborating in any other way. Any violation will be referred to the UCSD Office of Academic Integrity and, at a minimum, will result in a score of zero for the quiz.

You may request a 48-hour extension on this quiz if you have not previously used your one course extension. However, you must request the extension by 11:59pm PST on Monday, February 1st (24-hours after the quiz closes). If you ask for and are granted the extension, it will count towards your one allowed course extension and no other extensions will be granted, for any reason, for the rest of the quarter.

Due to the fact that I will not be available to answer questions for the entire period the quiz is open--and thus, cannot provide assistance to every student that takes the quiz--I will not be able to respond to clarification questions while you are taking the quiz. However, I will make adjustments after everyone has completed the quiz if there were widespread issues for certain questions.
